Purpose of the Training

The ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor Training equips participants with the knowledge and skills required to conduct and manage Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) audits in accordance with ISO 45001:2018and ISO 19011 standards. This training includes practical workshops, ensuring that participants gain hands-on experience in audit processes rather than just theoretical understanding.

• Managers responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
• Employees involved in workplace safety compliance and audits.
• Auditors and Auditor Candidates seeking lead auditor certification.

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for participation. However, prior completion of an ISO 45001 Fundamentals Trainingis recommended.

• 40 hours (5 days)

Training Content

• Occupational health and safety terminology and principles
• Overview of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS)
• Audit concepts, types, and resource requirements
• Roles and responsibilities of an auditor
• Planning, conducting, reporting, and following up on audits
• Effective questioning, interview techniques, and audit findings
• Audit psychology and managing challenges
• Identification and classification of nonconformities
• Corrective actions and follow-up activities
• Final examination

Certification Requirements

• Participants must attend at least 80 percent of the training.
• A written examination is required, consisting of four sections, with a minimum passing score of 50 percent per section and a total score of 63 out of 90.
• Participants who do not pass the first attempt are eligible for one free retake.

Successful participants will receive an Exemplar Global-approved Lead Auditor Certificate. Those who do not meet the passing criteria will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
