Purpose of the Training

The ISO/IEC 27701:2019 Lead Auditor Training is designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct and manage audits of Privacy Information Management Systems (PIMS) in compliance with ISO/IEC 27701:2019 and ISO 19011 standards. This training ensures that participants gain practical expertise through interactive workshops, enabling them to assess and improve personal data management practices within organizations.

• Privacy Officers and Data Protection Professionals managing data security and compliance.

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for participation. However, prior completion of an ISO/IEC 27701 Fundamentals Training is recommended.

• Personal data protection terminology and fundamental principles
• Overview of the Privacy Information Management System (PIMS)
• Audit principles, types, and resource requirements
• Roles and responsibilities of an auditor
• Planning, conducting, reporting, and following up on audits
• Effective questioning, interview techniques, and audit findings
• Audit psychology and managing challenges
• Identification and classification of nonconformities
• Corrective actions and follow-up activities
• Final examination

Certification Requirements

• Participants must attend at least 80 percent of the training.
• A written examination is required, consisting of four sections, with a minimum passing score of 50 percent per section and a total score of 63 out of 90.
• Participants who do not pass the first attempt are eligible for one free retake.

Successful participants will receive an Exemplar Global-approved Lead Auditor Certificate. Those who do not meet the passing criteria will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
