Purpose of the Training

The ISO 22000:2018 Lead Auditor Training is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct and manage Food Safety Management System (FSMS) audits in compliance with ISO 22000:2018 and ISO 19011 requirements. The program includes interactive workshops to ensure that participants not only understand theoretical principles but also develop hands-on auditing experience.

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for this training. However, prior completion of an ISO 22000 Fundamentals Trainingis recommended.

• 40 hours (5 days)

Training Content

• Food safety terminology and fundamental principles
• Overview of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS)
• Audit concepts, types, and resource requirements
• Roles and responsibilities of an auditor
• Planning, conducting, reporting, and following up on audits
• Effective questioning, interview techniques, and audit findings
• Audit psychology and managing challenges
• Identification and classification of nonconformities
• Corrective actions and follow-up activities
• Final examination

Certification Requirements

• Participants must attend at least 80 percent of the training.
• A written examination is required, consisting of four sections, with a minimum passing score of 50 percent per section and a total score of 63 out of 90.
• Participants who do not pass the first attempt are eligible for one free retake.

Successful participants will receive an Exemplar Global-approved Lead Auditor Certificate. Those who do not meet the passing criteria will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
