Purpose of the Training

This ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor Training is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to conduct and manage Environmental Management System (EMS) audits in accordance with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 19011 standards. Through interactive workshops, participants gain hands-on experience in auditing processes, ensuring they can effectively assess and improve environmental management systems within organizations.

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for this training. However, prior completion of an ISO 14001 Fundamentals Trainingis recommended.

• Environmental terminology and fundamental principles
• Overview of the Environmental Management System (EMS)
• Audit concepts, types, and resource requirements
• Roles and responsibilities of an auditor
• Planning, conducting, reporting, and following up on audits
• Effective questioning, interview techniques, and audit findings
• Audit psychology and managing challenges
• Identification and classification of nonconformities
• Corrective actions and follow-up activities
• Final examination

Certification Requirements

• Participants must attend at least 80 percent of the training.
• A written examination is required, consisting of four sections, with a minimum passing score of 50 percent per section and a total score of 63 out of 90.
• Participants who do not pass the first attempt are eligible for one free retake.

Successful participants will receive an Exemplar Global-approved Lead Auditor Certificate. Those who do not meet the passing criteria will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
