Along with the increase in population, the increase in the need for food has led to the increase in quantity rather than quality in agricultural production. With the increase in the selectivity of consumers, it has been necessary to ensure the traceability of foodstuffs in the chain from field to table in agricultural production, to be observed at every stage and to be certified by impartial and independent organizations as a result. Agricultural certifications are defined as the procedures that should be applied to make the agricultural production system socially livable, economically profitable and efficient, protecting human health, animal health and welfare and giving importance to the environment. With agricultural certifications, the earnings and competitiveness of the producers increase and the health of the consumers is also protected.
