Why
RCS
The RCS standard is prepared for products containing at least 5% recycled material. In this context, each stage of production must comply with the standard. This means that all steps starting from the recycling stage to the final seller of the product are certified. In the process of issuing the RCS certificate, the relevant sites of the enterprise may be subject to the submission of declarations of the standard, the collection of certain certificates of conformity and on-site visits. The scope of the RCS Certificate does not address the social or environmental aspects of processing and manufacturing, quality or legal compliance.
What is
RCS
RCS verifies the presence and amount of recycled material in the final product. This is done through a third-party login and chain of custody verification. It enables independent assessment and verification of recycled material content claims in products in a transparent, consistent and comprehensive manner. RCS can be used as a business-to-business tool to ensure that companies are selling quality products and getting what they pay for. It is also used to maintain an accurate and honest communication with consumers. These include ginning, spinning, weaving and knitting, dyeing and printing, and sewing companies.

RCS
RCS is a reference to many internationally valid standards, conventions and scientific publications. In this context, it uses the definition of recycled content in the ISO 14021 standard. The goal here is to conform to the most widely recognized definitions, which have a strict validity.
